Financial Furnishings is a full service contract furniture dealership offering high quality business furnishings and environments to create and support image statements. We began, in 1981, serving Michigan and Ohio's financial industry and quickly expanded to business professionals, healthcare and education sectors.

If you haven’t heard the news, FFI is still in good hands—two pairs of them, to be exact. John Phelan and his son, John Robert, are now officially in business together. While we all miss the legendary John Fountain, he’s fully enjoying a well-earned retirement. And let’s be honest—we’re not shaking things up too much. It’s still two Johns running the show. Some traditions are just too good to change.
John Robert might be new to the office full-time, but he’s no stranger to the business. He’s been soaking it all in since he was five years old. He brings a fresh perspective while honoring the longstanding relationships that have built FFI’s foundation.

As for John Phelan—he’s been with FFI for 34 years. His father (John Robert’s grandfather) was one of the original founders, and while the road hasn’t always been smooth, the journey has been remarkable. FFI is thriving today, built on experience, trust, and good old-fashioned hard work. And if you’ve heard the rumor that John Phelan is one of the best people to work with in the industry—well, we’re not here to deny it. Clients keep coming back, and that loyalty speaks volumes. It’s something John has modeled for decades and is proud to teach to the next generation.
